The fund is still working out the numbers and ballots for the UPS part-timers and what amount would have to be contributed for each schedule. With the new hours requirement for these part-timers, they're still figuring out how much of the contractual benefit increases will go towards health and welfare and how much towards pension. Their ballots will be coming soon.

   The vote for Local 294 UPS full-timers will be on Monday, July 26 for the Latham building. It will start at 7:30am for the drivers and feeder drivers on their way out can vote at that time. The full-time hub, Article 22.3 and clerks will vote starting at 5:30pm on Monday. Again any full-time feeder people can vote on their way out or in. Any members that do not get an opportunity to vote can contact Frank Kearney at the union hall and will be given an opportunity to vote, in person only, by going to the union hall before Friday, July 30th. Members of the pension committee will be assisting in the voting process in the Albany building to ensure everyone has an opportunity to vote. The schedule for the outlying centers will be as follows:

Hudson - Wednesday 7/21 @ 8:00am
Poughkeepsie - Thursday 7/22 @ 8:00am
Kingston - Friday 7/23 @ 8:00am
Latham - Monday 7/26 @ 7:30am
Amsterdam - Friday 7/30 @ 8:00am

   UPDATE - The vote on the pension rehabilitation plan involving the alternative pension schedules originally scheduled to take place at the union hall on Saturday, July 24 at 10:00am has been canceled. A later announcement of how the vote will be carried out will be made to the members and posted here.
